The Title "Eco-Rhythms"

We understand that weather is not the climate. Climate is the way our weather is changing, the variations and patterns skewing over time. These changes over time are difficult to perceive at a glance - but possible to feel, know and experience through the right lens.

 

Rhythm is just such a lens - how we feel music, how we feel liveness in our days, our seasons, our lives. We believe there is a power in reconnecting with Earthʼs essential rhythms, for so many of us have become urbanized and numbed to our true oneness with our ecological reality, our shared plenary rhythms.

 

We are passionate about the hard science that informs us of the changing rhythms of our climate - and in fact will utilize many sources and drawn from hard data to create this artwork. But this is not a data visualization artwork.

 

This is an artwork that illuminates certain core coastal rhythms at the scale of regional infrastructure.
